ROK Icon Kit.

I cannot believe we are already in October 2013, where has the time gone?! It will be Christmas before you know it!

This month however we still have Halloween to celebrate. I love the little one’s trick or treating, and might even dress up myself again this year 😀

This October is not only Halloween, it is also ‘Stoptober’ – a time when smokers in the UK try to stop smoking for 28 days, so what better time than to review another ecig for you?

As you may already know from my previous posts, I have managed to give up smoking after years of being addicted with the help of a fairly new product on the market, the ecig. I have tried a new one recently which I really like, so hopefully this post may help someone else kick the habit!

I have tried many brands since giving up smoking tobacco cigarettes last year, and have a few favourites that I use on a regular basis. One of these is the ROK ecig brand. ROK products are always of a very high standard, and their customer service and delivery are always spot on.

I’ve already got the ROK Legend kit which is fantastic. I also have the ROK Jet Black kit and have tried their disposable ecig’s which are excellent too. So when ROK introduced their newest product, the ROK Icon kit, I thought I should give it a try!

The kit comprises of:

1 x Rechargeable power pack (1100mAh)
2 x Rechargeable batteries (140mAh)
6 x E cigarette tips (3 Tobacco, 1 each of Coffee, Cherry & Vanilla flavour | Strong 1.6%)
1x USB charge lead for your power pack
1x Legal information card
1x Plain English user manual

The ROK Icon has the slimmest and most regular cigarette packet like recharging case, slightly smaller than your average smartphone, and feels lovely and soft to touch. It also has beveled edges so it won’t poke you with any sharp edges if you put it in your pocket!

The batteries seem to last longer than other cigarette sizes batteries, and are charged really easily when on the move by just pressing them into the charging slot in the case. This new feature of just pushing the battery into place, rather than fiddling about twisting it into place and then pushing another button to charge makes the whole thing a lot easier. The case itself holds it’s charge really well too.

The flavour and the vapour produced from the refill tips is really good, lots of flavour, lots of vapour. The only drawback I find with the refills, and this is a personal preference, is that the cartomisers only go up to a 1.6mg nicotene strength cartomiser. I prefer the 2.4 mg strength in e cig refills and liquids, so the throat hit etc wasn’t quite strong enough for me to use exclusively yet. Apart from that they are excellent, I particularly like the Cafe Cino coffee flavour. They work out at around £1.80 per refill which provides the equivalent of 35 regular cigarettes which is great value for money.

I think ROK have definatly listened to their customers, as all of these little touches – such as the soft case and push in charging slot, really make a difference. The case not only feels nice, but looks really stylish and impressive too. All in all a lovely kit and would highly recommend giving it a go!

The kit is being introduced at the special rate of £39.99 – so grab it while it’s hot! here is a link to ROK’s website:

Happy vaping,  and good luck in Stoptober everyone 😀

ROK Ecig’s.

As you may already know from my previous posts, I have given up smoking with the aid of a fairly new, and so far really helpfull product; the ecig. I have tried many different brands and types of these ecig’s, and because I feel they’ve helped me immensely I am going to review the best of the bunch on my blog under the category E Cigs. I will give you my point of view, as an ex smoker, on flavour and usage. I will leave the technical details and specifics etc to the ROK website to explain.

I have already blogged about the Vapestick ecig’s which really impressed me, and I have come across another fantastic brand for you to try – the ROK ecig.

I started out with the Jet Black kit from ROK because I tend to stick to the most cigarette like ecig. The Jet Black kit is very slick and stylish. It comes with two batteries, a selection of cartomizers in different strengths and a really nice black charger case that you can take with you to make sure your ecig’s are charged throughout the day.

The combined battery and cartomizer feels light and very similar to a regular king size cigarette. The vapour is smooth, but still gives a decent throat hit and tastes great. The batteries are fairly long lasting for their size, which makes this kit ideal for day to day use at work, or out and about.

I also tried the ROK disposable eshisher pens in a variety of flavours which were delicious! My favourite has to be coffee, as I am a bit of a coffee addict, and the taste is very realistic. The eshisher pens are nicotine free and the vapour is light and full of flavour. They are a really nice, funky little accessory to have with you on a night out, my friends all loved them.

The disposable ROK ecig’s are also a great idea to take with you on a day/ night out. They come in a variety of strengths and flavours and give you the equivalent of between 20 and 30 traditional cigarette’s worth of puffs. Also you don’t have to worry about using a charger case as the battery lasts for hours and comes with its own cigarette like box, which is also disposable. The vapour and taste are virtually the same as the rechargeable ecig’s.

This also applies to the disposable e cigar – the ROK Stogie. A cute little ecigar which is big on flavour and vapour – I love this product 😀

But the best ROK ecig, and the best ecig I have tried by far has to be the ROK Legend.
It is an excellent product. I’ve found this to be the most satisfying and enjoyable ecig of them all. It’s a refillable ecig that doesn’t look like a traditional cigarette, but the flavour and the vapour it gives you is second to none. I have been so impressed by this product that I’ve passed it around my friends and family and they can’t believe how realistic a smoking experience it is, without the dangers of using tobacco. The e liquids come in many strengths and flavours, but my favourite is the original tobacco flavour. It tastes absolutely fantastic!

The vapour is full of flavour and thick, without being too harsh. The throat hit is spot on, very realistic and similar to the regular smoking experience. I am really pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.

Happy vaping 😀

Vapestick Ecig’s.

Recently I have been trying out lots of different E Cigarettes which have really helped me to kick the smoking habit. I’ve tried many different brands; some are great, and some not so much. Although all of them provide a far more healthy alternative to smoking regular cigarettes or tobacco, some have proven to be a rather expensive and sometimes poor substitute.

I have found that some ecig’s have good battery life, but bad tasting cartridges, or vice versa. Some ecig’s are quite complicated, using three or more different parts, which all need to be renewed regularly, and this can work out more expensive in the long run. My personal taste is to go for an ecig that is small, stylish and cigarette like. So for me, taste, battery life and appearance are all important.

I have found the ecig that fits all of the above criteria. It’s the Vapestick. I have tried three of their products and have been extremely impressed!

Lets start with my favourite Vapestick product, and my new best friend; the XL Kit.

Firstly the XL Kit looks really slick and stylish, and allows you to have your ecig’s charged and ready throughout the day.

It comes with a charger pack, two battery’s, two different chargers, and a choice of Vapestick cartridges. The cartridges come in Original, Tobacco, Menthol, Apple and Cherry flavours and come in 2.4% and 1.8% nicotine strengths.

Both the charger pack and the batteries are really nice to look at and feel lovely too. The cartridges taste amazing and give out loads of vapour. The battery life is excellent, and lasts a lot longer than most other cigarette sized batteries, and the charger pack charges one ecig whilst you use the other. It also holds three spare cartridges, so it’s ideal to take to work etc with you during the day.

My favourite flavour cartridge is either the Original or Tobacco. The fruity flavours are nice, but I prefer the more cigarette like taste. The flavours are really full and produce lots of vapour.

I have been so impressed by this product that I have recommended it to all of my smoker friends and family, and lots of them have bought this kit after trying mine! That’s why I felt the need to write about it now, and let people know that there is a fab smoking alternative out there that can help rid you of the killer weed 😀

The other Vapestick products I tried was the V Shisha and the Vigar.

The V Shisher ecig’s come in a pack of five different fruity flavours and contain no nicotine. My favourite flavour was the Blueberry, but they were all really nice and sweet tasting and gave out lots of vapour. They are really cute and colorful in appearance, and would be a great little ecig to take with you on a night out. A fun little ecig which is big on flavour and looks.

The Vigar is a cigar version of the ecig which I absolutely love! I thought it would be more of a novelty product, but the vapour and the flavour you get from it is unreal! It looks and feels just like a real Cuban type cigar, and would also make a really cool little item to take with you on a night out, or just chilling out at home. My Hubby even tried this one and loved it 😀
The Vigar comes in nicotine free and a 1.8 mg nicotine version, so it could be used by a non smoker too

Both the V Shisher and the Vigar are disposable and really reasonably priced, so they are a great entry-level product if you feel like trying out an ecig for yourself without having to spend too much money.

Enjoy! (I do!) 😀
